Create a Weekly Plan: Print the summer calendar and count the # of weeks you have to read. Look at your summer reading book. How many pages does it have? Divide the # of pages in your book by the # of weeks in summer. Read that many pages per week--no excuses! Set a schedule for yourself.

Example Schedule:

Book has 244 pages. Starting July 1, 10 weeks until school starts.

244/10 weeks = 24 pages per week.

Read 8 pages, 3 days per week.

During reading, take notes!
